to whom it may concern...and whoever it doesn't,
I am writing you in a state of conflict. There is a part of me that truly understands our need to post and re-post everything we could possibly post and RE-post that makes us feel like we are a better person. But...there is a bigger part of me that resents the fact that re-posting a "If you love your Mom" meme, validates my love or anyone else's... Now I know that there are legitimate morons out there, and people that are just social gobbling baffoons, but for fucks sake. Really?? Is it ever going to stop? Is there really an end game here? If the plan is to eventually guilt the entire world into feeling like they "need to make a change" then, I AM IN!
But let's be honest. These are merely pictures and words and they hold no tangible value. If you love your mom, then call her up and tell her. If she is no longer with us then yell it out loud. Tell whoever it is that you love exactly how you feel and let's stop being so fucking cryptic with our feelings and thoughts. We are forward thinking and open minded individuals. We are capable of being exactly what we want to be. If you want to be a genuine person then I suggest you start with something a bit more personal than an electronic gesture.
Also, before you get all bent out of shape that I used this social media platform as a way to communicate how I'm feeling...re-post if you feel the same way.
